Meet Kristina Robison
Kristina Robison is a filmmaker, producer, and educator with more than 20 years of professional film and television experience. Her work includes extras casting roles on studio productions for Netflix, HBO, and Fox. As an independent filmmaker, she has written, directed, and produced original short films—including Augie & Bea and In Honor of Love, both selected as finalists in the 21 Film Project—along with documentary and commercial work.
For more than 15 years, Kristina has also taught filmmaking in Chicago, designing curricula that connect the production process with thoughtful creative decision-making. She founded Preparation Films to make professional filmmaking education more accessible and to give creators a way to consider both craft and responsibility as they build their work.

Teaching the next generation
Since 2009, Kristina has designed and led filmmaking curricula for students ages 10–24 — guiding them through story development, screenwriting, directing, camera, lighting, sound, editing, and casting. That classroom experience informs how Preparation Films teaches both professional craft and responsibility toward audiences, collaborators, and the people represented on screen.
